Charming little hotel right in the centre of Castellane. The young man on reception is very helpful, and the hotel restaurant, situated in the rear garden, is also excellent.

The bed was sooo comfortable and the room had a great view of the chapel on the rock. The hotel is right in the centre of town making it easy to walk out to restaurants. The nearby boulangerie is great for a quick breakfast. Parking is free and right beside the hotel.

On the way to Maison Castellane from Gordes we enjoyed the scenery a lot. Our apartment has everything you need with a cozy sitting area. Our booking was for 3 nights. There's unexpected incident happened. Mr Lambert and his wife were very kind to help us through the difficult time. We're very appreciated and grateful to them.
We couldn't finish our stay and unable to visit the area. So we'll definitely come back and stay here again to finish what we haven't done.

An excellent 10 days in one of their cabins.
An excellent 10 days in one of their cabins. The staff are really friendly and all speak English which a bonus. The pool is great and surprisingly warm however I think it might get a bit busy in high season. The cabin we had was great, modern and well cared for. It is steep terraced site, so walking up the hill for bread in the morning was a challenge for me in me in my 70's but doable, if I did need a few minutes before talking to the shop assistant. Ideally located for the French Alps and the coast even if were disappointed with Cannes. Castellane is a lovely little town with everything you need. The highlight of this area is the scenery which is outstanding

My favorite places there were around the lake, enjoying the water and the boats. I also liked the walk towards the fossils of ancient see-cows. In the evening, we ate mainly at the camping; mornings I enjoyed a cup of coffee and walked to the boulangerie for a nice sandwich. I would avoid coming in July next time. It was quite hot.

logistically basing yourself in Castellane makes sense, but it's too busy even during covid and it doesn't really matter where you stay as you'll have to take a bus at beginning or end of the hike anyway; having a rental car is the best. The local bakeries make excellent croissants though. I'd not stay in castellane again, instead I'd book more in advance to stay somewhere with an amazing view and a balcony. La Bastide de Moustiers might be the best place to stay, and the food is excellent.

Nice small little town with a lot of restaurants, great views and a big supermarket with fair choices of products if you are staying on the camping. I was traveling solo and I would say it was more couple or family friendly.
Great base spot for canion verdon hikes.

Great places to eat (cafe fontaine) and to have a good glass of wine (tourist cafe).
Favourite places where near the Verdon, lake Castillion, and driving along the mountains.
Special: route du crètes.
To go to other places you need a lot of time because of the roads in the mountains...
The host and apartment were both excellent. Good location for getting to the lavender fields near Valensole and Verdon Gorge region. It is about a 12-15 minute walk to the center of town. A large grocery store is about a 6 minute drive. The rooms are shaded which kept the apartment comfortable in the summer. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, and having 2 bathrooms was a plus. Marc was very accommodating and helpful. He provided a local map and suggested things to do. We would definitely recommend Vacances Castellane.
The location of this small, family hotel was superb. The central square of the city, where the bus from Nice dropped me off was a 2 minute walk from the Hotel du Roc. Another thing I really liked was that there is a very good restaurant in the lobby of the hotel. It was packed with locals, which indicates to me at least, that it must have a very good reputation. I got a table earlier than the crowd and had a great meal, 3 courses, at a reasonable price. I recommend it highly.
Really nice calm, quiet site. Even though the site was crowded when we arrived, it was still peaceful. The owners were very welcoming and they were dog friendly. Our cabin was nice, clean and reasonably well equipped (needed saucepans). Possible to order bread and croissants etc for the next morning at reasonable prices. Castellane itself has lots of restaurants and a big supermarket.
We received a warm welcome from the friendly hosts - there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, but nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation was in a most beautiful area and only a 5-10 minute walk from the pretty little town of Castellane, which had an amazing boulangerie.
Absolutely superb stay - the host was charming, helpful and friendly, the location was beautiful, quiet and had a great view, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend BnB Castellane without hesitation for a long or a short stay.
This is an incredible apartment, equipped with absolutely everything, very nicely decorated, located in the very center of Castellane, in a historic building, yet absolutely modern inside, with a large terrace overlooking charming old houses, beautiful gardens and city landmarks.
The rustic style of the house is amazing. The kitchen is a dream! I love cooking, so this is very important to me. The bathroom and showers is very spacious. Stephane, the owner is very friendly. The place is quiet and peaceful, yet is very close to the village Castellane.
Castellane is a beautiful village with some of the most fascinating natural gorges, rivers and mountains in France.
The restaurants and shops were lovely with good food everywhere. We had a charming little balcony which let us enjoy watching life in the town piazza.
Location was excellent, right next to the centre of Castellane, and a free parking lot. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Limited savoury options are available only upon request (previous day).
Room was nice and spacious and the shower was good.
Located in the center of the village.
liked it very much
large parking place at the basement of the hotel
suitable for bikers the parking is under roof
good internet clean' and very good location
Terry was very kind and helpful. His English is basic but we managed to communicate. The hotel is located distant from Castellan but if you have a car it is worth staying there.
