Luxembourg is underrated for many travelers. Luxembourg City is easily doable in one day, but the countryside offers so much more. We visited Echternach, Vianden, Esch-sur-sure and Beaufort, the mullerthal region, Remich and more over the course of 2 days and wish we could have had 1 more day to explore and hike.

Luxembourg was a great city, more beautiful than i expected.
Luxembourg was a great city, more beautiful than i expected. The old city was wonderful, a lot o things to see. The first day i thought i have seen everything, but i visited the next day, also a lot of other things that i havent seen. I will return again in Luembourg because i think i havent seen everything. I traveled with the train from Germany to Luxembourg. The prices were a little bit high but for the standard of living in Luxembourg maybe its ok. You can see everything walking on foot.

Anyone visiting the Low Countries is missing out if they skip Luxembourg. We went to The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg and Luxembourg proved to be the most pleasantly surprising. It is a legitimate European destination. We highly recommend visiting!!

Luxembourg is the only country in the world that offers free trains, buses tramways (except for first class). But still there is some space and it is not crowded.
The way to the airport is short.
All leisure types are available (museums, parks,…)

The city is great, it's so varied with the park, historical buildings, that it's just fun to walk around. The casemates are interesting and there is a lot to see.
Would recommend anyone going into nature as well, I hiked part of the Mullerthal trail (second part), which was a bit tough, but absolutely stunning. It's in the Little Switzerland area and really deserves that name. A bus gets you there in about an hour, definitely worth it.

Luxembourg is a small, clean, safe, easy, beautiful city.
Luxembourg is a small, clean, safe, easy, beautiful city. I used the (free) tram like it was a hop on hop off bus. I did a city walking tour and an art tour. I had pre-booked a Petrusse casements tour in English.
The tourist office was helpful. They told me about the art tour which I had not seen online.
Fort Thungen is open Wednesday evenings. The National museum and City museum are open late on Thursdays. Villa Vauban is open until 9pm on Fridays.
Not much goes on for tourists in Luxembourg on Mondays. I spent two of my six days (Sun/Mon) in Trier where all of the Roman sites are open on Mondays. The train to Trier is six euros RT, 45 minutes away. WOW did I do a lot of walking between Trier's Roman sites. If I had a do-over I'd buy a Trier bus pass.
This is the biggest hostel I have ever stayed in - if you're used to small scale backpacking don't be surprised when you get here is it like a really large hotel catering to people and groups of all ages. The location is phenomenal, as is the city itself. You are staying beneath the UNESCO WHS and everything in the locality is stunning. The dorms are basic, there are no privacy curtains, but the view at the back of the hostel from the dorm rooms is lovely. This is the cheapest place to stay in Luxembourg.
Cards for rooms and elavotor do not work, car park it is paid , access to hotel car park it is not easy to find not at all news that no access from main street . Hot breakfast must be impoved a lot .
Brand new hotel and all equipment is new BUT .
Very close to tram line which is the best way to get to city centre .
Black live matters and in the hotel most od the hard jobs doing africans.
With that price could be better .
Great location between Cantral railway station and old town on very nice Paris Square in Luxembourg City. 30seconds by walk to tram station. The best possible location to explore Luxembourg with free public transportation.
Hotel nicely arranged and well equipped. Very nice staff, tasty buffet breakfast with fresh products every day. Nice view on the street from dining room with large glass door.
The location was great, only a few minutes walk away from the train station and shops/pubs/supermarkets and restaurants were just outside the hotel
The city center wasn't far to walk at all either. Also the trams and buses are free to use which is great.
Eventough pubs were outside the Hotel we didn't hear any noise.
1. Great value, compared to other 4-star hotels in Luxembourg city, this one is outside of town but easy to transport to city center by car (12 mins) or bus (public transportation is all year free in Luxembourg county)
2. Free parking, enough car parking spots.
3. Service from hotel staff
The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was provided with towels, soap, shampoo, we had water and cups in the room which were refilled each day. The location was perfect, directly in the city centre with the view of the square. Breakfast was really good and the stuff was nice too.
very nice apartment, very central location, perfect if you have meetings in the city centre, if you have a longer stay maybe a hotel works better to keep the luggage, here was not super easy to get a taxi, but if you are on a quick trip to the city center it is very convenient.
Location of hotel was great, very short distance to city centre. Bed was comfortable (pillows too soft though) we stayed with our baby and they provided us a cot and also a comforter for him to use which was very sweet. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Very convenient location right across the Luxembourg train station. It is about a 1KM walk to the city center which was fine for me. There is a tram/bus stop right outside the hotel too.
Room was decently sized. Breakfast was okay; nothing to shout about.
Close to the train station, there are many supermarkets, restaurants, MacDonals, burger King, kfc aroun it, the hotel is 15 minutes by walk to the city center, but it isn't a problem because in Luxembourg the public transportation is totally free
For starters, the gentleman at the front desk was delightful. Everyone else was equally friendly and helpful. It is a very charming older hotel. The location is the best of the city. They even left us apples in the room!
It was ok for 1 night stay for not expensive place. The bus stop is near the hotel - it’s possible to reach bus station and city centre by bus. It took about 15-20 minutes. By the way, buses are free at Luxembourg!
Modern decor, airy rooms, very clean. Very convenient on the tram line, just 3-4 stops from the city center; free public transportation in all Luxembourg City. In the weekend, free street parking around the hotel.
The place has good value for money, the location is perfect and it has a good connection with the city centre. The rooms are comfortable and clean. In general, it is a good place to stay in Luxembourg.
It was a nice hotel and best customer service we received in the whole of Europe! The room was comfortable and clean. Location is great and close to the city Centre. Overall we had an awesome stay!
The hotel lays a few minutes walking away from the tram stop. The tram (which is free of charge) takes you into the city center in 10 minutes or so and there's a tram departing every 5 minutes.
Nice hotel staff and free parking. Right next to the bus stop in to the city. We got the best room we think at the top floor with a huge bathroom and a bathtub. Great stay overall.
The hotel was very clean, staff was very friendly and very helpful aswell. Very comfortable bed aswell. Location is perfect to the city centre and right outside a bus stop.
This hotel is really close to the city centre so it's a great value for money. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were very clean and they changed them frequently.
